About Course

The safety course every person who works around a magnet should have done. Four topics: the static field and the zones, implants and devices and what the labels actually promise, SAR, gradients and acoustic noise, and the people and emergencies you plan for. Grounded in the ACR Manual on MR Safety, IEC 60601-2-33 and MHRA guidance, conservative by design, and clear that every limit means “check the current edition and your local policy”. Never paywalled.

Continuing professional development

Learning time: 2 h 10 min (2.2 CPD/CPE hours). This is self-directed CPD. High Yield Imaging is not an accredited CE provider, so these hours are not ARRT Category A/A+ credits and are not pre-approved by any registration body. Most regulators accept relevant self-directed learning that you record with evidence — including MRTB (New Zealand), the Medical Radiation Practice Board / Ahpra (Australia), HCPC (UK), CORU (Ireland) and CAMRT (Canada). Your completion certificate states the learning time; keep it with a short reflection as your CPD evidence, and check your regulator’s current CPD policy for what counts.
